Honda/Acura FAQ - Ground Control Suspension Street coil-Over Kits

What comes with the kit? Each Ground Control Suspension kit is designed to fit onto existingco-clo~1.jpg (11630 bytes) shocks. Typically, a kit will consist of 4 aircraft aluminum adjustable spacers, 4 Ground Control Suspension Springs (custom made by Eibach Springs), and 4 urethane or rubber upper spring insulators. While the kits DO NOT include shocks, package deals are available.
Can I use my old springs? No. The Ground Control Suspension adjusters and springs are specially designed to be used as a set.
How low can I drop my car? Most enthusiasts end up with their car about 3 inches below the stock height. Although the maximum drop is about 3.5 to 4 inches, the car may bottom out when it is adjusted all the way down.
Do I have to modify my car at all?Yes, on most Hondas there is a plastic or steel dust boot cover over the shock on each corner. these dust boots must be trimmed in order to lower the car. This is simple to do, and instructions are included.
What is the difference between a Street Coil-Over kit and a Race Coil-Over kit? The Street Kits are designed for easy installation, with comparatively soft spring rates, and to provide a good ride at low ride height. The Road Race Kits are designed to be used with a wider variety of springs, all of them stiffer than the street kits, there is usually no rubber spring isolaters used and the shocks often must be modified for more travel. The Drag Race kits have aluminum rear upper mounts for use with super stiff springs. Any of our Race kits are REAL racecar parts and are absolutely unsuitable for street driving.
